VA and DOD have launched a website called eBenefits on April 12, 2010.  The website allows veterans to view their payment history and claims status at the click of a mouse.  This sounds like it will be an amazing tool that will assist in providing veterans up to date information.

    What is eBenefits?
The eBenefits portal is a joint project between the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Department of Defense. The eBenefits portal is a one-stop shop for benefits-related information for Wounded Warriors, Veterans, Service Members, their families, and those who care for them. Veterans, Service Members, Retirees and Family of Service Members can register for an eBenefits account. It is a multi-year project that will provide ever-increasing access to information and online functionality related to benefits.

There are two levels of access.  Level 1 provides access to general information.  Level 2 provides access to claim status and payment history specific to the veteran.

    Veterans
Veterans are eligible to obtain a DS Logon (Level 1) account by registering online. Veterans may register for a DS Logon (Level 2) account at a VA Regional Office.

    Retirees
If you have a CAC card or DFAS myPay Login ID and password, you may request a DS Logon via DS Access. You may also request a DS Logon at a VA Regional Office or a DoD RAPIDS facility, when obtaining your identification card.

DOD Welcome home-small.jpg A welcoming home for our Troops.

Welcoming home our men and women doesn't end after the crowd disperses, it MUST continue on for the life of the Veteran! They've served us, now we will serve them with programs that work so they reintegrate into society.

We are a national public benefit nonprofit organization that educates American Communities about best practices to serve Veterans.  We honor their service by empowering Veterans to apply their training and skills to successfully transition to productive careers and enterprises.

We provide free vocational training 24/7 to all of our members through our website, in addition to local events.  We believe the tenet that American Communities are the ultimate beneficiaries when Veterans claim their benefits and invest in productive endeavors.

The SWVBRC enlists the support of members of local Communities like you to increase Veteran awareness of the value of obtaining a VA card and receiving earned benefits.

Sponsorships, donations, volunteers and support from communities like yours enable us to reach out to Veterans and empower them to transition back into successful, productive enterprises that ultimately benefit all Americans and support future generations.
