Mills, III, USMC.  “This is to advise you that Governor Martin O'Malley has ordered the United States Flag and Maryland State Flag flown at half-staff on Wednesday, July 11, 2012, from sunrise to sunset. This is in memoryof Lance Corporal Eugene C. Mills III, USMC, of Laurel, Maryland, who died on June 22nd, 2012 in the Helmand Province, Afghanistan, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.  This action is taken under Protocol for the United States and Maryland State Flag. Any questions on the above should be directed to the Office of the Secretary of State."
