Eligible veterans of the first Persian Gulf War who have not applied  for the state's Persian Gulf Conflict Veterans’ Bonus Program should do so before August 31, 2015.

The program was established to ensure that Pennsylvania veterans of the first Persian Gulf Conflict received a bonus, just as did veterans of World War I, World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam Conflict.

Eligible Pennsylvania veterans of the Persian Gulf Conflict can receive up to $75 per month for each month of active service in the Persian Gulf Conflict up to a maximum of $525. The program pays $5,000 to families of veterans who died in active service in the Persian Gulf Theater or as a result of service-connected wounds, diseases or injuries sustained in the conflict. In addition, $5,000 is paid to prisoners of war.
