    A.  Senior Reliability, Maintainability, Availability (RMA) Engineer


    JOB DESCRIPTION:
    The Reliability Engineer will represent the GPS Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) Team as a key team member of the GPS development programs. The position will be responsible to evaluate GPS prime and subcontractor reliability plans, processes, tools and analysis, and will prepare reliability plans and processes for government application and execution. The Reliability Engineer will exercise considerable latitude in providing technical advice to government customers and will be responsible for monitoring prime contractor and subcontractor performance of statement of work tasks and deliverable products to ensure compliance with government requirements and expectations. Specifically, the Reliability Engineer will evaluate, monitor and assess the prime and subcontractors’ Reliability Program Plans and Risk Management Plans and identify any issues or disconnects between the two. This will include developing alternative approaches to identifying and mitigating key issues, and recommending optimal technical solutions for government approval and implementation. The effort will include evaluating the prime and subcontractors’ products to ensure that reliability requirements are properly defined, allocated, baselined, and traceable to specific requirements in the System Specification. The position will ensure that the prime contractor’s Reliability requirements, analysis, and predictions are evaluated against functional requirements and customary design practices.

    The Reliability Engineer will represent the GPS SE&I Team as a member of multiple government Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) on advanced projects and/or programs and serve as advisor to the government on advanced technical research studies and applications. The Reliability Engineer should be proficient in the following disciplines and processes: Sneak Circuit Analysis, EP/CTA, Reliability Prediction Analysis, Reliability Allocations, Parts de-Rating and Application, Reliability Block Diagrams and Systems Interfaces, FRACAS (Failure Reporting and Corrective Action Process), FMECA Analysis, Stress Analysis, Reliability Modeling, Design Assurance Analysis, Failure Diagnostics and Data/Trend Analysis, and Familiarity with use of Reliability models (Relex, Ascent, etc.).

    REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS:

    A Bachelor degree in any field of engineering or related technical category and minimum of 10 years experience; 8 years of which must be related reliability experience. Candidates must be familiar with provisions of MIL-STD-1543, MIL-STD-785, MIL-HDBK-217, and related reliability specifications including reliability FMECA, IFMEA analyses and roll-up into a signal-in-space analysis for PSICA purposes. Incumbent should also be familiar with major systems designs, fabrication, and manufacture of electronic components including test methods of electronic systems and subsystems. Incumbent must also be able to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

    DESIRED SKILLS:
    Experienced in applying advanced technical principles, theories, and Reliability concepts for space systems. Experience with GPS or other space systems and ground segment equipment is desired.

    B.  Mid Level Systems/Logistics Engineer

    REQUIRED SKILLS: Knowledge of logistics/sustainment engineering requirements and processes for Space, Control, and/or User space systems of equivalent complexity. Relevant skill areas include, but are not limited to demonstrated proficiency in the following areas:

    ·        Performing detailed systems analyses inherent in designing complex electronic systems to meet performance, supportability, safety, reliability and maintainability.

    ·        Conducting Reliability and Maintainability, logistics supportability analyses, and trade studies as part of the systems engineering environment.

    ·        Experience in conducting or contributing to Level-Of -Repair (LOR)/Source-Of-Repair (SOR) analyses.

    ·        Experience in applying logistics and maintenance processes including performance based logistics design, provisioning, depot partnering, data rights acquisition, and life cycle cost planning for complex electronics systems.

    ·        Experience in applying logistics and maintenance processes including provisioning, data acquisition, and life cycle cost planning for complex electronics systems.

    DESIRED SKILLS: Experience with Space, Control, and User segment logistics requirements analysis, design-for-supportability, development, test, production and sustainment planning and execution. 

    JOB DESCRIPTION: Perform a variety of logistics engineering tasks, either independently or under supervision, which are broad in nature and may include, but not limited to, any of the following: Evaluate alternative system designs for supportability and integrated logistics support elements (maintenance planning; manpower and personnel; training and training support; supply; support equipment; handling, storage, and transportability; and reliability and maintainability). Coordinate detailed analyses to ensure integration of support considerations are considered during the design process. Plan and assist in the conduct of maintainability demonstrations, and develop maintenance and support plans.

    Participate in engineering design reviews, Logistics Management Information (LMI) reviews, engineering change review boards, and ILS technical meetings. Provide technical support in such areas as: configuration management; training and training equipment requirements; Technical Order (T.O.) management; provisioning and spare parts requirements; packaging, handling and transportation; and manpower and personnel planning. Provide support in the areas of technical order verification and validation, deficiency reporting, and system/support equipment acquisition documentation.

    Review engineering documents prepared by development or production contractors and prepare reports assessing engineering adequacy and proper application of engineering and systems engineering principals. Individual is expected to work in a peer environment where each has responsibilities for development and delivery of logistics engineering products to meet defined schedules without requiring day-to-day direction. Ability to prepare planning and requirements documents to enable government oversight of development contractor’s processes and products. Capable of using independent judgment in evaluating, selecting and adapting standard engineering practices applicable to sustainment requirements.  Must have capability to review development contractor’s processes for compliance with aerospace/government regulations.  Must be capable of working on multiple problems of diverse scope.  Contribute to the development of the organization's goals and objectives. Frequently interact with supervisors, customers, and functional peer groups at all levels.

    EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

    ·        Systems/Logistics Engineer Mid Level - Bachelors Degree in an applicable engineering field or equivalent experience; 5-9 years logistics/ sustainment engineering, or related experience.

    Description:

    ·        HBE Corporation has an immediate opening for a Sr. Project Engineer/Project Manager for Goleta, CA.  for our Construction Dept.        

    ·        This person should have 10-15 years of Experience and have Hospital/OSHPD Experience on California Projects.    

    ·        Person needs to have a degree in either Civil Engineering or Construction Management and previous California Hospital/OSHPD Experience.
