A. Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO)
Responsibilities:
· Performs the duties of the ISSO for classified and unclassified network systems in a secure facility.
· Serves as the system security authority; prepares, distributes, and maintains plans, instructions, guidance and standard operating procedures for the security of network systems operations.
· Creates and maintains the System Security Plans (SSPs) and other documentation.
· Applies federal and organizational directives to manage system security operations.
· Recommends resource allocations required to securely operate systems.
· Works with system administrators to ensure systems are securely configured and maintained.
· Provides system-related input on security requirements for statements of work and other documents.
· Develops or modifies computer environment security plans and requirements.
· Confirms the proper marking, control, and removal of classified system hardware and media.
· Ensures that inspections, tests, and reviews are coordinated for the systems.
· Conducts periodic reviews to ensure that systems are operating securely and procedures are being followed. Conducts regular reviews of audit logs.
· Validates users' designation for sensitive positions and access.
· Supervises protective or corrective measures in the event of an information assurance incident.
· Prepares risk assessments during the Certification and Accreditation process.
· Ensures system users are properly authorized and that they receive required periodic training.
· Evaluates presence and adequacy of security measures proposed in acquisitions.
· Keeps senior management aware of system security issues.
· Maintains currency in relevant security policy and technology; recommends and implements appropriate policies and system changes.
· Performs other assigned duties that are not security-related, as time permits.
· Duties may require occasional travel to other U.S. sites.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's Degree in an Information Technology area, or demonstrated equivalent experience (i.e., at least 5 years of specifically-related background, in addition to the experience requirements below).
· 6 or more years experience in the realm of information security, including a minimum of 4 years of management experience as an ISSO or similar position, including Certification & Accreditation functions. Government or military equivalent would be designation as an IAM Level I or II.
· At least one of the following Information Assurance certifications: GSLC, CISM, CAP (ISC2), Security+, GISF, GSEC, SSCP, or CISSP-Associate. Higher-level certifications such as CISM or CISSP are strongly desired and required for future advancement.
· 3 or more years of Unix/Linux experience, with system administration background desirable.
· 3 or more years of Microsoft Windows experience, with system administration experience desirable.
· Experience with vulnerability scanning and assessment tools.
· Experience with word processors, spreadsheets, databases, and drawing tools.
· Good interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all levels of employees.
· U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.

B. Executive Assistant
Provides administrative support for the Director, Deputy Director, and Administrative Officer. The executive assistant handles a variety of tasks including travel arrangements, lodging and transportation for visitors, Human Resources benefits and related programs, social events planning, and staff timekeeping and payroll. Primary Responsibilities:
· Serves as the principal representative of the Director and Deputy Director. Provides the first level of assistance to visitors and assists in prioritizing multiple demands.
· Maintains schedules, makes appointments, arranges for meetings, and escorts visitors. Responds to routine requests for information and determines which requests should be referred to other appropriate staff members.
· Coordinates all aspects of travel arrangements including authorizations and reimbursements; reconciles travel and other credit card expenditures.
· Arranges lodging and transportation for center visitors, encompassing a large influx of guests during conferences and certain periods of the year.
· Provides event planning for meetings, conferences, and other employee activities; compares vendor offerings, suggests venues, negotiates agreements for services, select menus and decorations, arranges services, handles deposits and invoices, etc.
· Prepares staff time sheets and enters appropriate information into an electronic payroll system.
· Assists with Human Resources liaison regarding employee programs and benefits; provides information, materials, forms and responds to employee inquiries.
· Prepares documents and other data per prescribed formats; responsible for correct spelling and grammar; reviews all materials prepared for higher approval for accuracy and format.
· Maintains recurring internal reports, correspondence controls, contact listings, personnel rosters, and other types of data; establishes and maintains files; follows up on pending matters to ensure deadlines are met.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
· Associate's degree, with six or more years progressively responsible experience in executive secretarial functions.
· Demonstrated ability to handle proprietary or sensitive information and to operate effectively under deadlines with tact and diplomacy.
· Strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all levels of employees.
· Demonstrated proficiency with various software applications to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point etc.), e-mail, graphics and database applications. Familiarity with Web interfaces would be a plus.
· U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
· Although infrequent, must be prepared to work overtime hours as needs dictate.

Summary:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Cross train processing personnel to effectively establish flexibility throughout the manufacturing area.
· Responsible for ensuring that all production reports, equipment records and inspection reports are filled out properly.
· Report any work injuries or equipment failures immediately to your supervisor.
· Assist in conducting annual evaluation reviews of all manufacturing employees.
· Monitor employee’s attendance.
· Counsel, Coach and/or discipline employee personnel as needed.

division head of the Medical Projection and Risk Assessment Modeling
(MPRAM) track in the Medical Modeling and Simulation department at
the Naval Health Research Center, San Diego.
JOB DESCRIPTION: The primary purpose of this position is to guide the
evaluation, design, and development of medical logistics and planning
computer models and simulations needed to support current and future
Navy and Marine Corps medical systems analyses.
SCOPE: Reviews the scientific literature related to casualty
treatment and management during military operations, writes reports
and journal articles, and makes presentations at professional
meetings and conferences. Responsible for planning and managing
research projects involving using Military Healthcare System data and
incorporating it into medical resource allocation and medical risk
assessment systems. Research investigations
include the development of databases and computer programs to
determine the supply and equipment requirements for Navy and Marine
Corps medical facilities and to conduct test and evaluation on
medical planning systems. Uses advanced data reporting techniques,
mathematics, and statistics in order to conduct and report on
research. Designs computer-based planning tools to assist medical
planners in determining resource requirements. Performs multiple
tests and validates models with empirical and statistical techniques,
performs simulation analysis to generate results and translates
results and output into medically useful conclusions and
recommendations. Prepares manuscripts of research findings for
submission to refereed journals and develops and delivers briefings
for Department of Defense sponsors and appropriate conferences.
Participates in symposia, tutorial seminars and subject matter expert
panels, reviews technical, scientific and research reports and
determines applicability to mission, and represents the Naval Health
Research Center at professional meetings and conferences
related to military operational medicine.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS: Minimum of possession of a Master's degree
from
an accredited college or university appropriate to research, computer
science or statistics and experience equivalent to a doctorate
degree. Five years of competent, innovative research in a field such
as computer science or statistics. Ph.D. is preferred. Experience in
system analysis, computer system design, computer program management,
thorough knowledge of experimental design and skill in the use of
computer software packages to
include data management systems, graphics and FoxPro, Access and
Excel, as well as statistical packages.
DESIRED SKILLS: Knowledge of and experience with investigation of
medical logistics and tactical planning tools, battlefield dynamics,
medical resourcing issues, and the principles of modeling/simulation.
Experience or knowledge of the delivery of medical care and
preventive medical care in austere environments, including combat
operations, military operations other than war, search and rescue
