    Apex systems Opportunity, San Diego, CA, Supply Chain Analyst

    The Supply Chain Analyst, reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, will be responsible for the development and implementation of key procurement and inventory programs to reduce inventory costs and optimize customer service levels to provide the company a competitive advantage in the areas of materials, supplies and services. 

    Responsibilities:

    ·        Implement sourcing strategies to support company objectives.

    ·        Locate, analyze and develop a supplier base for identified commodities to meet current and future needs.

    ·        Develop reporting to manage supplier cost, quality and delivery performance

    ·        Assist in analyzing and optimizing inventory management strategies and productivity improvement programs.

    ·        Able to evaluate issues and develop action and implementation plans.

    ·        Interacts with individuals and cross-functional teams to ensure solutions are documented and implemented.

    ·        Compile, analyze data and prepare detailed reports documenting the cost savings and inventory reductions achieved.

    ·        Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors.

    ·        Receives assignments in the form of objectives and plans appropriately to ensure schedules and goals are met.

    Qualifications:

    ·        Minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required.

    ·        Seven (7) to ten (10) years progressive materials, inventory control, procurement or supply chain experience. 

    ·        Experience developing supplier relationships and supplier managed inventory programs required.

    ·        Knowledge of inventory management techniques.

    ·        Working knowledge of Supply Chain methodologies: Demand Flow, VMI, SMI, and Kanban.

    ·        Understanding of Lean Manufacturing.

    ·        Good communication and teamwork skills with all levels of the organization.

    ·        Excellent organizational skills, independent thinking and high level of initiative.

    ·        Strong analytical, quantitative and data management skills.

    ·        Experienced in SQL or JDE Strategy report writing.

    ·        Proficient in MS Office suite.

    ·        DE One World experience helpful.
